Title - Advance Immunology Discovery in Spatial Biology with GeoMx DSP
Chairperson - Qianqiao Tang
Speakers -

  • Marshall Feterl, Technical Sales Specialist, NanoString

  • Antje Blumenthal, University of Queensland

Description - Through NanoString GeoMx® Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP), researchers can map the spatial architecture of a cell and how it talks to and interacts with its surroundings. Spatial biology is like being inside a tissue sample at a molecular level. It enables researchers to see things that are not possible by sequencing or any other technologies out there. With GeoMx® Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP), researchers can profile up to 22,000 RNA or >180 proteins on a single slide. The capability of GeoMx® DSP to work with multiple clinical sample types including FFPE, Fresh Frozen and Tissue Microarray also make it an ideal tool for those who like to explore the wealth of archived samples.

In this industrial breakout session, we will lead you through a journey of Spatial Biology and answer questions to those who are new to this frontier. You will also learn more about how GeoMx DSP can help research to significant breakthrough in immunology.

The symposium will start with Dr. Marshall Feterl, Technical Sales Specialist from NanoString to present on the principles and mechanism of GeoMx DSP. Professor. Antje Blumenthal from University of Queensland Diamantina Institute to present her research work in mycobacterium tuberculosis with GeoMx DSP titled “Spatial exploration of lung pathology in mycobacterium tuberculosis infection”.
